Panduranga Rao, alias James Pond, is an eccentric and innocent youth who fancies himself an extraordinary private detective. Behind his comical demeanor lies the silent agony of an orphan. He takes on the case of finding ‘Chantabbai’, the missing heir to a wealthy family. His interactions with Jwala, a talkative telephone operator, create ripples of laughter. However, this hilarious journey eventually takes a deeply emotional turn when he discovers that the missing heir he is searching for is none other than himself. The transition from rib-tickling comedy to poignant drama makes this film a masterpiece of human emotions.
