జీవితం అనే సుదీర్ఘ ప్రయాణంలో వెలుగు నీడల వలె నిరంతరం ఎదురయ్యే ఆనందవిషాదాల సున్నితమైన కలయికే ఈ కథ. అనాథగా ఆశ్రయం పొందిన సుగుణ, తనను ఆదరించి పెంచిన తండ్రి సమానుడైన వ్యక్తి పట్ల కృతజ్ఞతగా తన ప్రగాఢమైన ప్రేమను సైతం త్యాగం చేస్తుంది. కర్తవ్య నిర్వహణలో భాగంగా అనారోగ్యంతో ఉన్న ఒక వైద్యుడిని వివాహమాడి, అతడి మరణానంతరం అతడి ఆశయాలను తన భుజస్కంధాలపై మోస్తుంది. తదనంతర కాలంలో తన మాజీ ప్రియుడు క్షయవ్యాధి బారిన పడినప్పుడు, ఒక వైద్యురాలిగా, ఉన్నతమైన మనిషిగా నిస్వార్థంగా సేవలందిస్తుంది. మానవ సంబంధాలలోని ఔన్నత్యాన్ని, హృదయాన్ని హత్తుకునే త్యాగనిరతిని అత్యంత కళాత్మకంగా ఆవిష్కరించిన అద్భుత దృశ్యకావ్యమిది.
A poignant tale reflecting the interplay of light and shadow—joy and sorrow—in the journey of life.
