    Maha Prasthanam (The Great Journey) is a seminal collection of poems that fundamentally altered the landscape of modern Telugu literature. Written primarily between 1930 and 1940 and published in 1950, it moved away from traditional mythological and romantic themes to focus on the struggles of the common man, the laborer, and the marginalized. Influenced by Marxism and French Surrealism, Sri Sri used powerful imagery and rhythmic innovation to call for a social revolution. The work remains a symbol of resistance against oppression and is considered the manifesto of the Abhyudaya (Progressive) movement in Telugu letters.
