Legendary singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam dubbed the voice for actor Naresh in this film. Director Jandhyala made this creative choice because Naresh's spoken Telugu had a slight Tamil accent at the time.

The immortal romantic melody 'Chinukula Raali' is a beautiful recreation of Rajan-Nagendra's own Kannada composition 'Kanasalu Neene Manasalu Neene' from the 1976 film 'Bayalu Daari'.

E. V. V. Satyanarayana, who later carved a niche for himself as a highly successful comedy director in Tollywood, worked as an assistant director to Jandhyala on this film.
అఖండ విజయం సాధించిన ఈ చిత్రం మూడు కేంద్రాలలో 175 రోజులకు పైగా ప్రదర్శితమైంది. తరువాత ఈ చిత్రాన్ని వి.బి. రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ గారు హిందీలో 'బేకారార్' (1983) పేరిట పునర్నిర్మించారు.
Achieving massive success, the film ran for over 175 days in three centers. It was later remade in Hindi as 'Bekaraar' (1983) by V. B. Rajendra Prasad.
